Albert Cytryn M.D. (Partner)

Albert Cytryn M.D. is an eyelid and facial plastic surgeon practicing in Bethesda, Maryland, Greenbelt, Maryland, and Annandale, Virginia. Dr. Cytryn is a native of Washington, D.C., and completed his training at the prestigious Krieger Eye Institute and the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is a clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University and George Washington University Hospitals, and is a past president of the Washington Ophthalmological Society. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (AAFPS), and a fellow in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr. Cytryn lectures extensively on all aspects of facial plastic surgery, both regionally and abroad. Dr. Cytryn has staff privileges at hospitals and surgery centers throughout the greater Washington area.

Stephen J. Kominsky D.P.M., FACFAS (Partner)

Dr. Kominsky received his doctorate from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1982. His undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in biology was granted from the University of Maryland in College Park.

Following graduation, his surgical training was at the Hayward Vesper Hospital in Hayward, CA, where he specialized in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery along with special emphasis on complications from diabetes. Dr. Kominsky moved his practice to Washington in 1983.

Dr. Kominsky’s academic appointments include the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Division of Endocrinology at George Washington University Hospital, and the Department of Surgery at the Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He is a Diplomats member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Kevin Perman M.D. (Partner)

Kevin I. Perman M.D. has practiced in the greater Washington D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland areas for over twenty years. Upon returning from his fellowship training at UCLA medical center in l984, he founded the Center for Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery, the first practice in the area solely devoted to the art of eyelid, orbital, and aesthetic facial surgery. As cofounder of the Journal of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Perman has enjoyed teaching appointments at UCLA medical center, George Washington medical center, Georgetown University medical center, and has consulted for the oculofacial clinics at the Washington Hospital Center, and National Children’s medical center. Besides his private consultation practice with offices in Fairfax, Bethesda and downtown Washington D.C., he lectures physicians and physicians in training, both nationally and abroad.

Irwin Shuman M.D.

Dr. Shuman earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency in general surgery at Mt. Alto V.A. Hospital and his residency in urology at Georgetown University.

Dr. Shuman is an active member of many medical and professional associations. He is chairman of the section of Urology at Sibley Memorial Hospital, and is chairman of the department of urology and the Medical Advisory Committee at the center for ambulatory surgery. He is past president of the Washington Urologic Society.

Dr. Shuman is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Jeffery Steinberg D.P.M. (Partner)

Dr. Steinberg received his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2002. He received his undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1998. Soon after, Dr. Steinberg returned to his true passion, medicine.

Dr. Steinberg completed his 3 year surgical training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey. Following his extensive training, Dr. Steinberg relocated to Washington, DC to become a partner in Mid Atlantic Podiatry Associates. Dr. Steinberg’s areas of expertise are in the management of the diabetic foot as well as forefoot and ankle reconstructive surgery.

Throughout the course of his career and training, Dr. Steinberg has authored numerous papers and given countless lectures on issues relating to the management of the diabetic foot as well as foot and ankle surgery.
