The River Road Surgery Center provides an attractive, comfortable alternative to surgery patients who do not require an overnight hospital stay. The facility is state-of-the-art and is designed exclusively with your comfort and safety in mind. Our spacious operating rooms are similar to those found in area hospitals and include state-of-the-art equipment, instruments and medical support systems. Our staff’s professionalism, experience and hospitality give patients confidence that their procedure will be performed with a minimum of anxiety and maximum comfort and satisfaction.

Most procedures are performed at a cost far less than if performed in a hospital setting, but with all the amenities that create a minimum of stress while meeting or exceeding the standards required by Medicare and other regulatory agencies.

RRSC is equipped to provide surgery services in several medical specialties and our capabilities will continue to expand. All surgeons on the RRSC Medical Staff are licensed in the state of Maryland, are Board Certified or Board Eligible, and all are from well-established practices in Washington Metropolitan Area. Anesthesia, when indicated, is provided and monitored by on-site anesthesiologists.

For your convenience, we will submit your claim to your insurance carrier for services provided. Depending on your insurance, you may be required to sign an “Assignment of Benefit” statement that directs your insurance company to send the payment directly to us. If RRSC is a participating provider in your insurance plan, we will, in most cases, accept this payment as payment in full and there will be no balance to you. If we do not participate in your plan, we will bill you for all amounts not covered by your insurance. Full payment is required at the time of admission for non-covered procedures and for those without medical insurance.

Please note that all HMO and PPO plans require that their members pay their assigned copayment at the time of service, and that your surgeon and anesthesiologist will bill you separately for their services.

If you have any questions regarding payment, reimbursement or your bill in general, please call our main number at 301-652-7130 and choose option 2 to speak to our Billing Office.
